Visual merchandising plays a crucial role in attracting customers, guiding buying decisions and increasing average transaction value on the high street. This practical virtual workshop focuses on how layout, displays, signage and product placement directly influence customer behaviour and sales.
Part of the Supporting Hull & East Yorkshire High-Street Businesses series, in this session participants will learn simple, low-cost techniques to improve conversion, encourage customers to spend more, and make better use of their existing space — without needing major investment or refits.
Key Learning Objectives
By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:
• Understand how visual merchandising influences customer behaviour
• Improve store layout to support flow and conversion
• Create displays that attract attention and encourage purchases
• Use signage effectively to support buying decisions
• Position products to increase average transaction value
• Identify practical ways to measure the impact of visual changes
• Leave with clear actions to improve sales performance
Delivered by expert Insight6 on behalf of Hull and East Yorkshire Business Support Services.
