Event Description
Seasonal Trading, Flow & Operational Readiness - Planning Ahead to Maximise Peaks & Reduce Pressure
Wednesday 11 March, 10.30am - 12.00pm (1.5 hours), Online
Seasonal peaks, local events and changes in footfall can put significant pressure on high street businesses. This planning-focused workshop helps businesses move from reactive firefighting to proactive preparation, improving confidence, efficiency and customer experience during busy periods.
Part of the Supporting Hull & East Yorkshire High-Street Businesses series, in this session participants will explore how to anticipate demand, manage flow, prepare teams and ensure operational readiness — so peak trading periods become opportunities rather than stress points.
Key Learning Objectives
By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:
• Identify key seasonal and local trading pressures
• Plan more effectively for busy periods and events
• Improve customer flow and reduce bottlenecks
• Prepare staff, space and processes for peak trading
• Reduce stress and firefighting during busy times
• Review performance and improve future readiness
• Leave with clear actions to improve operational confidence
Delivered by expert Insight6 on behalf of Hull and East Yorkshire Business Support Services.
